FARMGRUPP Calendula Flowers are dried flowers of Calendula officinalis (pot marigold), harvested at full bloom and carefully dried to preserve their characteristic bright orange-yellow colour, aromatic essential oil content, and naturally occurring phytochemicals. Calendula officinalis is one of the most widely used and well-studied herbal plants in European traditional medicine and modern phytotherapy, with a continuous history of use spanning several centuries in both internal preparations (teas and infusions) and topical applications.
The dried flower heads contain a range of bioactive constituents including triterpenoid saponins (principally oleanolic acid glycosides), flavonoids (isorhamnetin, quercetin, and their glycosides), carotenoids (including beta-carotene and lutein, responsible for the characteristic orange pigmentation), polysaccharides, and a small amount of essential oil. Calendula flower tea has a mild, pleasantly slightly bitter, herbal flavour and a characteristic golden colour when infused. The 40 g loose pack provides a practical quantity for regular home tea preparation. Certified by Farmgrupp.

FARMGRUPP Saialilleõied 40 g is a loose herbal tea made from dried calendula flowers, also known as pot marigold. People usually choose calendula when they want a gentle botanical infusion with a long tradition of use in European herbal practice. Its taste is mildly bitter and herbal, and the bright golden colour comes from the flower’s natural pigments.
Calendula officinalis contains several naturally occurring plant compounds that make this herb interesting. Flavonoids such as quercetin and isorhamnetin act as antioxidants, helping protect plant tissues from oxidation and giving calendula part of its value as a herbal infusion. Carotenoids, including beta-carotene and lutein, give the petals their orange-yellow shade. The flowers also contain triterpenoid saponins and polysaccharides, compounds often discussed in traditional herbalism because they interact with water well during steeping and become part of the finished tea.
What makes this product appealing is its simplicity: 100% dried calendula blossoms with no blends or added flavourings. Because it is sold loose rather than in tea bags, the flowers can open properly during infusion, which helps release aroma, colour and water-soluble constituents into the cup. Calendula has been used for centuries in home herbal preparations, and this traditional use is one reason many people keep it in the kitchen alongside chamomile, peppermint and other classic herbs.
This kind of herbal tea can suit those who enjoy rotating single-herb infusions, prefer mildly bitter botanical flavours, or want a warm, non-caffeinated drink in the evening or during quieter moments of the day. It can also be a practical option for people who appreciate traditional herbs and like preparing loose teas at home.
As with any herb, it is sensible to use calendula thoughtfully. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, sensitive to plants from the daisy family, or using medicines regularly, check with a healthcare professional before adding herbal teas to your regimen.
