The formula contains no p-phenylenediamine (PPD), no hydrogen peroxide developer and no synthetic ammonia-based alkalising agents. Colour is achieved through natural plant pigments — primarily henna (Lawsonia inermis, whose lawsone pigment permanently bonds to hair keratin) combined with additional botanical herbs that modulate the final shade toward a darker blonde result. Henna (lawsone, 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone) undergoes a covalent reaction with the primary amine and thiol groups of the hair keratin protein, producing a stable bond that does not wash out. All botanical ingredients originate from India and have been carefully selected for optimal colouring compatibility.
