Urea in high concentrations acts as a potent keratolytic that penetrates the dense, compacted keratin structure of the nail plate, disrupting the hydrogen bonds between keratin fibrils and progressively softening and loosening the nail plate, making it easier to trim, file, and reshape thick, hard, or deformed nail plates. Salicylic acid enhances this keratolytic action at the nail plate surface level.
The botanical essential oil component includes cajaput oil (Melaleuca leucadendron cajuputi), lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia), and peppermint/mentha arvensis oil as aromatic active cosmetic ingredients. Cajaput oil contributes a fresh, medicinal, camphoraceous aroma and is a traditional cosmetic ingredient for nail and foot care. The cosmetic base includes corn (Zea mays) oil and beeswax for emolliency and skin conditioning around the nail area. The 30 ml tube provides a practical supply for targeted application.
