Turpentine Ointment 25 g from Yaroslavl Pharmaceutical Factory (Russia) is a cosmetic topical ointment prepared with turpentine (spirit of turpentine / oil of turpentine) as the principal active, in a white petroleum jelly (petrolatum) and water base with polyglyceryl fatty acid esters. Turpentine is an essential oil mixture (primarily α-pinene and β-pinene monoterpenes) obtained by steam distillation of the resin of pine trees (Pinus spp.), and has a characteristic strong, fresh pine/resinous aroma. In cosmetics and topical preparations, turpentine acts as a rubefacient — producing a characteristic warming and stimulating sensation on the skin surface as it penetrates the stratum corneum and mildly stimulates superficial skin circulation, generating local skin redness (erythema) and warmth at the application site. The ointment format in petrolatum base provides prolonged contact of the turpentine with the skin surface. 25 g in a glass jar. For external use only.

USE: Apply to the target skin area externally. Apply 2–3 times per day as directed. Do not apply to mucous membranes.

Apply it only to intact skin, never on broken, irritated, or freshly shaved skin. Avoid the eyes, mucous membranes, and any area where the skin is thin or sensitive.
