Victoria Beauty Tinting Shampoo in shade Coffee (V30) is a semi-permanent cosmetic hair colourant in shampoo format from the Victoria Beauty range by Rubella Beauty (Bulgaria), providing a warm coffee-brown tone for medium-brown to light-blonde hair with excellent grey hair coverage. The semi-permanent direct dye formula deposits colour molecules onto the hair cuticle and outer cortex surface during the foaming application process, providing a progressive colour enhancement that is buildable by varying the development time. Unlike permanent oxidative dyes, no peroxide developer is required and the hair's internal cortex structure is preserved. The formula contains aloe vera extract (Aloe barbadensis gel) for conditioning softness and natural shine, and a UV filter that protects the deposited colour from fading by UV radiation exposure. The colour result lasts 4–8 shampoo washes depending on development time (20 minutes for 4–5 washes; 45 minutes for approximately 8 washes). The colour is deposited by direct dyes that sit on the cuticle and outer hair shaft, so it gradually rinses away with each shampoo. Most people see noticeable tone for 4 to 8 washes, but the exact number depends on three main factors. First, hair porosity: more porous (often damaged or chemically treated) hair grabs more pigment initially but can also release it faster if the cuticle is very open. Second, starting colour: on medium-brown hair the coffee shade adds warmth and depth; on dark blonde it reads as a richer brown; on very light or bleached hair the result is significantly more intense and may last longer because there’s less natural pigment to compete with. Third, UV exposure: the formula includes a UV filter to slow sun-induced fading, but prolonged strong sunlight will still accelerate wash-out, especially for warm brown tones that tend to lose richness first. To extend the life of the tint, wash with lukewarm rather than hot water, use a sulphate-free shampoo for subsequent washes, and wear a hat or use a leave-in UV spray if you’re in strong sun for hours. Re-application is safe whenever the tone fades, since there’s no oxidative chemistry to build up.
Because the product combines a cleansing base with direct dyes, you use it in the shower exactly like a normal shampoo — but with a few precautions. Put on the gloves provided (or any nitrile gloves) before opening the sachet; the coffee pigment stains skin, nails, towels, grout, and shower curtains quickly. Wet hair thoroughly, squeeze the 40 ml contents into your hand, and work it into a foam from roots to ends, making sure every strand is coated. The foaming action helps distribute the tint evenly, which is especially useful for blending first grey hairs. Leave the foam on for 3 minutes if you want a subtle refresh, or up to 10 minutes for a deeper, richer coffee tone; do not exceed 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water until the runoff is completely clear — any residual foam left on the hairline or neck will transfer to towels or pillowcases. After rinsing, blot hair with an old dark towel rather than a light one. Clean any splashes on tiles, grout, or the shower tray immediately with a bathroom cleaner; dried stains are much harder to remove. The aloe vera in the formula leaves hair feeling smoother, so a separate conditioner is optional but can be used if your ends are dry.
The shade is formulated for a medium-brown to light-blonde starting base. On natural medium-brown hair it deepens the tone and adds a warm coffee richness. On dark-blonde (level 7–8) it shifts the colour toward a soft chestnut-brown with visible grey blending. On light-blonde or highlighted hair (level 9–10) the same pigments deposit much more intensely, often producing a noticeably darker, warmer result than expected — sometimes edging toward a red-brown rather than a neutral coffee. If your hair is heavily bleached, porous, or has had a recent perm, relaxer, or other chemical service, the cuticle is more open and will absorb pigment unevenly; a strand test on a hidden section (behind the ear or at the nape) for the full 10 minutes will show exactly how the shade develops on your hair. The same applies if you have a lot of grey: resistant grey strands may take the tint lighter than the surrounding hair, so checking a few grey hairs in the test helps you decide whether you need a longer processing time or a follow-up with a dedicated grey-coverage product. Always do the recommended patch test 48 hours before first use to rule out sensitivity, even if you’ve used other tinting shampoos without issues.
