Shungite is a rare carbon-rich mineral originating from Karelia in Russia. It contains fullerenes — spherical carbon molecules that are valued in cosmetics for their antioxidant behaviour, meaning they help neutralise free radicals on the scalp surface. Silicon (silica) is one of the building blocks of the hair shaft and connective tissue; in topical products it is appreciated for adding mechanical resilience to weakened, brittle strands.
The mask works as a concentrated scalp treatment. Applied to clean, damp roots and gently massaged in, it allows the mineral complex to act directly on the follicle area.
