The formula combines several ingredients that, in rinse-off cosmetics, contribute to a fresher skin surface sensation rather than a systemic effect:
A body wash can technically be applied to the face, but this product is not designed for facial skin. Its formula contains menthol, fragrance and surfactants typical of body washes, which can irritate the thinner and often more reactive skin on the face, especially around the eyes and nose.
This shower gel is not marketed as a sensitive-skin product. The source note specifically says that people with very sensitive, dry, or reactive skin—or people who tend to react to menthol or fragranced washes—should test it first and avoid using it on irritated areas.
