Key ingredients
The key active is sulfur, which loosens sebum and dead skin cells that can clog pores, making the skin feel cleaner and less greasy. If sulfur is new to your routine, treat the first week as a test. Use the bar two or three times a week on the oily areas only, rather than every day all over the body. Sulfur can feel active on skin, and the product guidance is to start gently when you are not used to it.
This solid bar is suitable for the face, back or other oily areas that feel shiny or heavy by the end of the day. To use it, wet your skin, work up a lather in your hands or directly on the bar, massage the lather over the oily area for a short time, then rinse thoroughly. It is a wash-off cleansing bar, not a mask, so do not leave the lather sitting on the skin.
Sulfur soap is designed for oily and problematic skin, but sulfur can still feel active on skin that is dry, reactive or easily dehydrated. The formula includes glycerin and olive fruit oil to reduce the tight, over-washed feeling, yet individual reactions differ.
