ALG Pharma Lab4Dent is a cosmetic daily-use mouthwash from the Estonian pharmaceutical brand ALG Pharma, formulated without parabens and without alcohol, providing a triple-active oral hygiene formula based on the combination of chlorhexidine gluconate, xylitol and sage extract. Chlorhexidine gluconate at 0.2% concentration is a broad-spectrum antiseptic with both antibacterial and antifungal properties; it binds to tooth and soft tissue surfaces, where its antimicrobial activity persists for several hours after application due to substantivity — gradual release of the active from bound tissue. At 0.2%, chlorhexidine inhibits supragingival plaque formation by interfering with bacterial adhesion and colonisation. Xylitol is a polyol (sugar alcohol) derived from birch or corn that inhibits the growth of Streptococcus mutans, the primary cariogenic bacteria in the oral cavity; xylitol also promotes remineralisation of enamel by stimulating saliva flow. Sage (Salvia officinalis) extract provides astringent, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties from rosmarinic acid and tannins. The alcohol-free formula is tolerated by sensitive oral mucosa and does not cause the oral dryness associated with high-ethanol mouthwashes. 500 ml bottle.

USE: Rinse with 10–15 ml of undiluted mouthwash for 30–60 seconds. Do not swallow. Use after tooth brushing, once or twice per day.
WARNINGS: For oral hygiene use only. Do not swallow. Contains chlorhexidine gluconate — prolonged continuous use (beyond 2–4 weeks) may cause temporary discolouration of teeth and altered taste perception; take breaks between courses of use. Not for children under 6 years. Avoid contact with eyes. Not a medicinal product. Keep out of reach of children.
