Preparation

VITATEKA Põdrakanepi tee kibuvitsaga 100 g is a fermented herbal tea made from fireweed, also known as Ivan tea, with the bright, slightly tangy note of rosehip. The main difference lies in the ingredients: this blend contains no leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis), which means it also contains none of the caffeine found in black and green tea. The drink is based on fermented fireweed (ivan-chai), which resembles tea in the look of the dry leaves and the colour of the infusion but is a completely different plant.
Fermented fireweed releases its flavour better with a longer steeping time than classic tea. It is brewed with boiling water.
This blend contains plant ingredients — fermented fireweed and rosehips — which are generally considered well tolerated. Nevertheless, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when choosing drinks for a child, it is recommended to consult a specialist first.
