How should this blend be brewed to get a rich flavour? — Ivan tea with rosehip, 100 g - Vitateka

Fermented fireweed releases its flavour better with a longer steeping time than classic tea. It is brewed with boiling water.

The recommended brewing time is 5–7 minutes. After 5 minutes the infusion is milder and lighter; after 7 it is darker and richer, with a more pronounced tartness from the rosehip. Try both and choose the one you like best.

The proportion given in the instructions is 2–3 teaspoons per 500 ml of boiling water in a teapot. If you want a stronger flavour, increase the amount of the blend rather than the brewing time — this helps avoid excessive astringency.

Let the infusion cool slightly before drinking.

The drink is good both hot and warm. Chilled, with ice added, it can also be an interesting choice in warm weather.
