Outwardly, CHIKALAB with nougat and raspberry looks like a familiar chocolate bar, but its composition is fundamentally different. The base is milk protein — a whey and milk protein concentrate. Protein is digested more slowly than simple carbohydrates, so the snack keeps you feeling full for longer than an ordinary sweet or wafer.
Yes, this is possible, and it is worth knowing in advance. The bar contains maltitol and sorbitol — sugar alcohols used as sweeteners. They are poorly absorbed in the small intestine and are fermented in the large intestine, which in sensitive people can cause bloating, discomfort or a laxative effect.
The bar contains several ingredients that are common allergens: milk proteins (whey and milk protein concentrate), as well as soy and egg. If you have an intolerance or allergy to any of these ingredients, you should avoid the bar.
