The DeBa DETOX Day Cream for normal and combination skin by Rubella Beauty is a lightweight facial moisturiser designed for skin that feels balanced in some areas yet shinier on the T-zone. Its texture absorbs quickly, leaving a soft matte finish that works well as a base under makeup or simply as a morning hydrator before heading outdoors.
The formula is built around a multi-weight hyaluronic acid complex — sodium hyaluronate, hydrolysed and acetylated forms, plus a crosspolymer. Each molecular size sits at a different depth of the upper skin layers, helping bind water where it is needed most. This is why skin looks plumper and smoother shortly after application: hyaluronic acid acts like a sponge that holds moisture inside the epidermis.
To address the combination-skin challenge, the cream includes bamboo stem extract (Bambusa Arundinacea), known for its mild astringent and clarifying action that helps reduce visible shine and refine the look of pores. Grapeseed oil and vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate and tocopherol) bring antioxidant protection — they neutralise free radicals generated by UV exposure and urban pollution, one of the main drivers of dullness and early fine lines. An added UV filter (ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate) gives a basic shield against incidental sun exposure, although it does not replace a dedicated SPF product.
For softness, the formula relies on shea butter and coconut oil in small amounts, balanced so the cream stays light rather than heavy. Glycerin reinforces the humectant action of hyaluronic acid, while a discreet floral note from Gardenia Tahitensis (Tiare) gives the product its gentle scent.
This day cream suits adults with normal-to-combination skin who want fresh hydration without a greasy film — typically from the late twenties onward, when the first signs of dehydration and uneven tone begin to appear. It pairs well with a serum underneath and a richer night cream in the evening.
