Crevil Essential Cooling Leg Gel is a cosmetic cooling and refreshing gel for hot, tired and heavy-feeling legs, from the German Crevil Cosmetics & Pharmaceuticals range, formulated with two well-known topical cooling actives — menthol and camphor — in a light, fast-absorbing gel base with a deodorising effect. l-Menthol is a cyclic monoterpene alcohol derived from peppermint oil (Mentha × piperita) or produced synthetically; it exerts a characteristic intense cooling sensation by selectively activating the TRPM8 cold-receptor (transient receptor potential melastatin 8) ion channel in sensory nerve endings in the skin, producing a subjective cooling sensation that occurs independently of any actual temperature change. Camphor (dl-camphor) is a bicyclic monoterpenoid ketone derived from the camphor laurel (Cinnamomum camphora); topically applied camphor produces a warming-then-cooling counter-irritant sensation through activation of TRPV3 (warm) and TRPM8 (cold) receptors. The combined menthol–camphor formula delivers an immediate, intense and pleasant cooling and refreshing sensation on the legs — particularly effective after prolonged standing, walking or physical exercise. The formula has a neutral pH, absorbs quickly, leaves no greasy residue, and provides a mild deodorising effect at the skin surface. 250 ml.
