Sattva Ayurveda copper tongue scraper, 14 cm
Directions for use: clean your tongue after brushing your teeth.
The Sattva Ayurveda copper tongue scraper is a classic tongue cleaner in keeping with the Ayurvedic tradition. It is made of pure copper, which is highly valued in the Ayurvedic tradition for its special properties. The Sattva Ayurveda copper tongue scraper is especially sturdy, weighs about 35 grams and has a convenient length of about 14 cm. The additional handles provide comfort and an attractive look.
How to use. Hold the ends of the copper tongue scraper with both hands and place the curved part as far back towards the root of the tongue as possible. Using gentle pressure, pull it towards the tip of the tongue so that the debris stays on the scraper. Repeat 3–4 times, then rinse your mouth thoroughly and clean the tongue scraper. Material: 100% certified copper. Weight: about 35 g. Length: about 14 cm.
Inner width of the scraping part: 7 mm. 2 handles with an attractive wave.

About the SATTVA Copper Tongue Scraper
SATTVA Copper Tongue Scraper 14 cm is a simple oral hygiene accessory inspired by Ayurvedic practice. People usually choose a tongue scraper to remove the coating that can build up on the tongue overnight or after meals.
What the Coating Contains
This coating is made up of:
- Saliva residues
- Food particles
- Bacteria
When it stays on the surface, it can contribute to an unpleasant taste in the mouth and stale breath. A scraper gives a more direct mechanical clean than brushing the tongue with a toothbrush, which many people find less effective or less pleasant.
Key Features of This Scraper
What makes this SATTVA tongue cleaner different is the material: pure copper. In traditional Ayurveda, copper has long been valued for hygiene tools. In practical terms, the main role here is not a medicinal one, but the shape and metal surface that help lift the film from the tongue evenly.
- Curved design follows the natural contour of the tongue
- Two handles give better control for gentle pressure
- 14 cm size is compact yet comfortable to hold
The size makes it easy to fit into a morning mouth-cleaning ritual alongside brushing and rinsing.
Who May Find It Useful
This kind of tool may suit people who:
- Notice morning breath
- Have a coated tongue
- Want a fresher feeling in the mouth after brushing
- Are interested in Ayurvedic self-care methods and traditional hygiene habits
Because the action is purely mechanical, the result comes from regular, gentle use rather than from any active chemical ingredient.
How to Use and Care
Use with a light hand, especially if your tongue is sensitive. Do not scrape too hard or use on irritated tissue, cuts or sores.
- Rinse and dry the copper scraper after each use to keep it in good condition
- If you have ongoing mouth irritation or unusual changes on the tongue, consult a dentist or healthcare professional

Customer Questions
Hold the scraper with both hands by the handles — its 14 cm length makes it easy to control the pressure. Stick out your tongue, place the curved working part as close to the back of the tongue as possible and draw it smoothly towards the tip, collecting the coating. Repeat 3–4 times, rinsing the scraper under water after each pass, and finish by rinsing your mouth thoroughly.
Copper has been used in Ayurveda for oral hygiene items for many centuries — it is one of the few metals traditionally considered suitable for such purposes. That is why many makers of Ayurvedic accessories, including SATTVA, choose copper as the material for their scrapers.
A toothbrush is designed primarily for cleaning teeth: its bristles work the toothpaste in and act mechanically on the enamel and the spaces between the teeth. When you run a brush over your tongue, it partly loosens the coating but does not always remove it effectively — some of the coating remains or is spread around the surface.
