Rubella Beauty PREMIUM FASHION COLOR Hair Dye Black 1.0 is a permanent hair color cream created for people who want a deep black shade with a smoother-looking finish and less breakage during coloring. This type of product does more than change the tone of the hair: it also works on the hair fiber while the color develops, which is why many people choose it when they want richer-looking shine rather than a flat, harsh result.
Bond Re-Plex technology
The coloring system is paired with Bond Re-Plex technology, an amino acid complex designed to help reinforce the hair structure during the coloring process. In simple terms, permanent dye can make hair feel more porous because the cuticle opens and the pigment penetrates inside. Bond-focused ingredients aim to reduce this stressed feeling by helping the hair shaft stay more resilient, so lengths feel less brittle after coloring.
Key components
The formula also includes Q10, oleic acid and vitamin C, which make this permanent hair dye especially relevant for hair that is dull, tired-looking, or prone to roughness after frequent color use:
- Q10 is known in cosmetic use as an antioxidant that helps protect the hair fiber from oxidative stress linked to coloring and environmental exposure.
- Oleic acid is a fatty acid that helps the hair feel softer and more flexible.
- Vitamin C contributes antioxidant protection and can help the finished color look more lively and glossy.
When people choose it
This shade can suit someone:
- covering regrowth,
- refreshing faded black hair,
- or switching to a darker look with more visual depth.
The creamy texture is useful because it spreads more evenly through roots and lengths, which can help achieve a more uniform result at home. For hair that has been previously lightened, highlighted, chemically processed, or feels fragile, a strand test and extra caution are especially sensible, as darker permanent shades can take strongly and may be harder to remove later.
Important notes
- As with any permanent hair color, a patch test is important before use, even if you have colored your hair before.
- Avoid using it on irritated scalp skin, and be extra careful if your hair is very damaged or recently permed or bleached.
- If you are unsure how black 1.0 will develop on your base color, ask a hairdresser before application.

Customer Questions
This product uses Bond Re-Plex, an amino acid complex integrated into the permanent coloring system. During the permanent dyeing process, the hair's cuticle opens to allow pigment inside, which can increase porosity and leave hair feeling stressed. The technology aims to help reinforce the internal structure of the hair fiber as this chemical process occurs, so the hair shaft stays more resilient. The goal is to reduce the brittle, fragile feeling that can sometimes follow coloring. It's important to understand that this is a protective action within the dye itself; it does not repair pre-existing, significant structural damage such as severe breakage, split ends, or the effects of prior over-bleaching. For hair that is already very damaged, caution is advised. The formula's inclusion of oleic acid, a fatty acid, can contribute to a softer, more flexible feel, while antioxidants like Q10 and vitamin C help protect the hair from oxidative stress linked to coloring. This combination is designed to help hair look and feel smoother and shinier after coloring, but it is not a substitute for deep conditioning treatments or professional reconstruction services for compromised hair.
This is a permanent hair dye, meaning the color molecules are designed to penetrate deep into the hair cortex and remain there until the hair grows out or is cut. While the intensity of the black shade will gradually fade over many washes due to shampooing and environmental exposure, the underlying pigment remains. This makes it significantly more challenging to remove than a semi-permanent or temporary color. Attempting to lift or bleach out a permanent black dye at home is a complex chemical process that can lead to unpredictable results, such as brassiness, orange or green tones, and severe hair damage, including breakage. If you are considering a switch to black but are uncertain, it is strongly recommended to perform a strand test on a discreet section of hair first to see the final result. For hair that has been previously lightened or highlighted, the black pigment can take very strongly. Should you wish to remove it later, consulting a professional hairstylist is the safest course. They can assess your hair's condition and history and use controlled, professional-grade products to gradually lighten the color with the goal of minimizing damage.
These ingredients are included to address specific concerns that arise from repeated coloring. Dullness and roughness often occur because the chemical process of permanent dyeing can stress the hair fiber, making the cuticle layer rough and reducing light reflection (shine). Q10 (Coenzyme Q10) and Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) function as antioxidants within the formula. Their role is to help neutralize free radicals generated during the oxidative coloring process, which contributes to protecting the hair protein from some of the associated stress. This can help the finished color retain a more lively, glossy appearance for longer. Oleic acid, a fatty acid naturally found in some oils, works on a different aspect. It has emollient properties that help condition the hair shaft, improving its texture. By coating and smoothing the hair fiber, it can increase flexibility and reduce the rough, dry feel that makes hair tangle easily. Together, these components aim to improve the sensory feel and visual outcome of the coloring process, making the hair look shinier and feel softer post-application, which is particularly relevant for hair that has become tired-looking from frequent color use.
Yes, you can use this dye on previously bleached, highlighted, or permed hair, but it requires careful consideration. Chemical processes like bleaching and perming alter the hair's internal structure, making it more porous and fragile. This heightened porosity means the hair will absorb the permanent dye pigment very quickly and intensely, potentially resulting in an extremely dark, sometimes flat color that may be harder to lift later. More importantly, applying another chemical process to already compromised hair increases the risk of over-processing, which can manifest as extreme dryness, brittleness, and breakage. The product's own guidance advises being extra careful if your hair is very damaged or recently chemically treated. The essential precaution is to perform a strand test on a section of your hair that represents its current condition. This allows you to see the final color development and observe how your hair tolerates the product before committing to a full application. It is also sensible to ensure your hair is in the best possible condition beforehand with a course of deep conditioning treatments. If you have any doubts, or if your hair is severely damaged, consulting a hairdresser for professional assessment and application is the safest approach to avoid further harm.
