Askorutin tabletid N50 is a food supplement, not a medicine. It is based on two components: vitamin C and rutin. Vitamin C contributes to collagen formation — a protein important for the strength of blood vessel walls, skin and connective tissues — and also supports the normal function of the immune system. Rutin is a bioflavonoid, that is, a plant substance often combined with ascorbic acid in formulas aimed at the capillaries.
Ordinary vitamin C contains only ascorbic acid or one of its forms, whereas Askorutin combines vitamin C with rutin. This makes the formula more targeted for those who choose a supplement with a focus on the blood vessel walls and microcirculation, not just on generally topping up vitamin C in the diet.
Askorutin comes in tablet form, so it is convenient to take on a clear schedule without preparing drinks or mixing it with food. Adults are advised to take 1 tablet 1–2 times a day after meals (the daily dose provides 50–100 mg of rutin and 50–100 mg of vitamin C). Do not increase the number of tablets on your own: a food supplement is designed to complement the diet, not to replace food or medical prescriptions.
