Askorutin tabletid N50 is a food supplement, not a medicine. It is based on two components: vitamin C and rutin. Vitamin C contributes to collagen formation — a protein important for the strength of blood vessel walls, skin and connective tissues — and also supports the normal function of the immune system. Rutin is a bioflavonoid, that is, a plant substance often combined with ascorbic acid in formulas aimed at the capillaries.
This kind of product is usually seen not as an ‘emergency’ remedy but as part of the everyday diet at times when you want to pay more attention to your intake of vitamin C and components for vascular support. For example, it may be chosen during the cold season, when you are very busy, short of sleep, eating a monotonous diet, travelling or when the seasons change.
It is important to understand the limits of its use: Askorutin is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent disease and does not replace a proper diet. If you have chronic conditions or particular blood clotting or vascular issues, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medicines on a regular basis, it is best to discuss the supplement with a specialist before use.
