Elecampane (Inula helenium, Estonian: aedvaak) is a large flowering plant native to Central Asia and widely naturalised across Estonia and Northern Europe. Its roots and rhizomes contain inulin, essential oils — primarily the sesquiterpene lactones alantolactone and isoalantolactone — as well as flavonoids and phytosterols. In the Baltic and Slavic herbal tradition, elecampane root preparations have been used for centuries to support respiratory comfort during the cold season.
This syrup combines an elecampane root extract with added ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in a convenient 200 ml liquid form. Suitable for adults and children over 12 years.

For children under 12 or when taking medication, consult a specialist before use, and during pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor. The syrup contains sugar and is not a medicinal product.
According to the card, the composition is elderberry extract (Sambucus nigra), vitamin C (ascorbic acid), a syrup base (water, sugar) and preservatives; the full composition and the content per daily dose are stated on the packaging. About vitamin C it says that it contributes to the normal function of the immune system, helps protect cells from oxidative stress and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue; the card does not explain the role of the elderberry extract.
