Mirrolla "03 Series" Vitamin AE Cream is a nourishing cosmetic cream from the Mirrolla "03" professional care range for face and body, formulated with vitamins A (retinol/retinyl esters) and E (tocopherol) as the two principal active antioxidant ingredients. Vitamin A (retinol, retinyl palmitate or retinyl acetate in topical cosmetics) is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays a key role in skin cell turnover — in the form of retinoic acid (the active metabolite of retinol), it binds to nuclear retinoid receptors and modulates the transcription of genes involved in epidermal differentiation and cornification. In cosmetics, vitamin A compounds (retinyl esters) support normal skin cell renewal and texture improvement. Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol or tocopheryl acetate) is the primary lipid-soluble antioxidant in the skin, protecting cell membranes and the stratum corneum lipid matrix from oxidative damage caused by UV radiation, environmental pollutants and free radicals generated during normal cellular metabolism. Together, vitamins A and E provide a comprehensive antioxidant and skin-renewal supporting combination in the formula.
