Vitamins A and E are fat-soluble: unlike water-soluble vitamins, they are not excreted in urine as quickly, but accumulate in the body's tissues. This means that when several supplements containing these substances are taken at the same time, the total dose may turn out to be higher than needed.
Vitamins A and E are fat-soluble, meaning they are absorbed considerably better in the presence of fats. The oil base of TILGAD A+E-VITAMIIN already creates a suitable environment for this, but taking it during a meal that contains at least a small amount of fat (for example with the main meal rather than on an empty stomach) additionally supports absorption.
The product is most often chosen by adults and teenagers over 14 years old during periods when the diet becomes less varied, for example in the off-season or with a limited range of food. Vitamins A and E are found in oily fish, liver, eggs, dairy products, vegetable oils, nuts and leafy vegetables; if these foods rarely appear on the menu, the intake of fat-soluble vitamins from food may decrease.
