Intended for use in hemorrhoids and other ailments around the anus.
It has the properties of relieving pain and itching. It increases the tension in the walls of blood vessels, inhibiting bleeding from inflammatory hemorrhoids.
It accelerates the regeneration of the epidermis, eliminates puffiness, and prevents infections.
It alleviates the symptoms of inflammation of the anus-burning area, pain or itching also occurring for other reasons.
Contains witch hazel (hamamelis), with strong astringent, anti-haemorrhagic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and oak bark extract with an astringent effect, inhibiting micro-bleeding. Oak bark reduces vascular permeability, which soothes congestion accompanying the exacerbation of the disease.
How to use: apply to clean and dry skin around the anus. Use as needed. Preparation for topical application.
Active ingredients: witch hazel, oak bark, chestnut, calendula, arnica.
Ingredients INCI: Aqua, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark Extract (and) Aesculus Hippocastanum Seed Extract (and) Quercus Robur Bark Extract (and) Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract (and) Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate, Sodethyl Taurate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin, Citral, Eugenol, Cinnamal, Farnesol, Linalool, Citronellol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional Coumarin, Geraniol, Benzyl Cinnamate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene.
What This Cream Is For
Dr.Retter PÄÄSTERÕNGAS PROKTO-KREEM 50 g is a topical cream for the sensitive skin around the anal area, chosen when the goal is to soothe irritation, itching, burning and swelling. The formula combines plant extracts traditionally used to calm tissues and tighten the skin surface, rather than masking the problem with a heavy film alone.
Key Active Ingredients
- Witch hazel – helps constrict superficial tissues and vessels, which can reduce the feeling of fullness and help with minor oozing linked to irritated hemorrhoidal tissue.
- Oak bark extract – its tannins tighten the outer layer of the skin and may lessen excess moisture, useful when the area is prone to friction and irritation.
- Horse chestnut – known for its role in venous tonicity, often included in products for heavy, swollen areas where small vessels are under pressure.
- Calendula – widely used in barrier-focused cosmetics to help the skin recover after irritation.
- Arnica – valued in external products for areas that feel sore or puffy.
The emollient base helps the product spread gently and creates a protective layer that reduces further friction.
When People Choose This Cream
This cream may suit people who want a local soothing product for:
- Discomfort linked to hemorrhoid-related irritation
- Occasional irritation caused by rubbing or prolonged sitting
- Sensitivity after bowel movements
- Times when the area feels more reactive or tender than usual
How to Use and Important Notes

- Avoid use on damaged skin if the product stings markedly.
- Discontinue if irritation develops.

Customer Questions
This topical cream is intended for the sensitive skin around the anal area, specifically formulated for external use. It aims to soothe common local discomforts such as irritation, itching, burning, and a feeling of swelling.
Many creams for anal-area discomfort primarily create a heavy, occlusive film to mask symptoms. This product takes a different approach, focusing on the skin's condition itself. Its key distinction is the blend of specific plant extracts traditionally used for their targeted actions on the skin's surface and underlying tissue tone.
For effective use, start with clean, dry skin on the external anal area. Wash gently with water and pat dry completely before application. This ensures the cream makes proper contact with the skin and isn't diluted.
