The professional oxidative tinting technology uses high-concentration pigments that penetrate and colour the upper skin layers of the eyebrow growth zone, delivering a semi-permanent brow colour result that maintains beautiful shape and clear definition for 2–3 weeks without daily make-up. The ammonia-free formula on a castor oil (Ricinus communis) base conditions the eyebrow hairs during tinting. Castor oil is traditionally prized for its ricinoleic-acid-rich emollient and film-forming properties on hair; it is believed to stimulate the hair growth mechanism and increase the volume of eyebrow hairs with regular use. To extend wear, avoid oil-based makeup removers directly on the brows for the first 24 hours after tinting, and pat the area dry instead of rubbing after cleansing. The castor oil in the formula helps keep hairs conditioned, which can make the colour appear more even as it gradually fades.
The Brown shade in this kit is formulated to match auburn and chestnut-brown hair tones, giving definition that reads as natural rather than harsh or blackened. If your natural brow hair is medium to dark brown with warm or neutral undertones, this shade will typically blend seamlessly. For very light blonde, ash blonde, or cool ash-brown hair, the pigment can pull slightly warm (reddish) on the skin stain, which may look noticeable at the tail where hair is sparse. Watch for redness, itching, swelling, burning, or any skin change at the test site. If any reaction occurs, rinse immediately and do not use the product on your brows. Also skip the treatment if the skin around your brows is irritated, sunburned, broken, or if you have recently used strong actives (retinoids, acids, peels) in that area. If you have ever reacted to hair colourants, black henna tattoos, or PPD-containing products, consult a dermatologist or licensed beauty professional before proceeding.
Start with completely clean, dry brows — no oils, moisturisers, or makeup residue, as these create a barrier that prevents even colour uptake. Mix the tinting cream and developer in a non-metallic bowl in a 1:1 ratio (the kit includes measured compartments) until the texture is smooth and uniform. Using the angled brush, outline the desired brow shape first, paying extra attention to the tail where hairs are often sparse; then fill in the body of the brow with short, hair-like strokes. For a softer front, use less pressure and feather the product upward. Development time is typically 5–10 minutes depending on desired intensity; do not exceed the maximum time stated in the instructions. Remove by pressing a damp cotton pad onto the brow and wiping gently in the direction of hair growth — avoid rubbing, which can disturb the skin stain. The castor oil base leaves hairs feeling softer, so a light brow oil or serum can be applied afterwards if desired.
