Pour a small amount into one palm, rub your hands together, then spread it over the target area with long strokes. It is suitable for shoulders after strength training, legs after running, and the back after a physically demanding day. Start with less rather than more; you can always add another portion if the skin starts to drag. For larger areas such as the back or thighs, you will generally need more oil than for the neck or forearms.
Massage oils are made to stay on the skin long enough for your hands to glide, so they do not absorb as quickly as a light body lotion. This one is a plant-based blend of herbal oil extracts, and the product description describes the result as soft rather than greasy.
