If your skin is sensitive or you react easily to fragrance, test the oil on a small patch of skin before using it for a full-body massage. Apply a little to the inside of your forearm and wait a few hours to see whether any redness, itching or tingling appears. The formula contains peppermint essential oil, which can feel cool or slightly strong on the skin, and it also includes arnica, so it is especially important to be cautious with damaged skin.
Do not use this oil on broken, irritated, sunburned, freshly shaved or otherwise damaged skin. Arnica has a long tradition in European body products, but it is not meant to be used on open areas. Because the blend includes grapefruit essential oil, treated skin may become more reactive to UV light. If you have just massaged your shoulders, arms or legs with this oil, do not sunbathe or use a sunbed on those areas for the rest of the day. Washing the skin does not guarantee full removal, so it is safer to simply avoid direct sun exposure after use.
Do not apply near the eyes or on mucous membranes. If you are prone to fragrance allergies, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a long-term skin condition, talk to a pharmacist or doctor before use. If the oil causes irritation, stop using it.
