Elfa Pharm "FJ" Shower Gel with Avocado and Rice Milk is a gentle cleansing shower gel for people who want skin to feel soft and smooth after washing, not tight or dry. This kind of formula is often chosen for regular use when you want a pleasant shower texture together with light moisturising ingredients.
The idea behind this shower gel is simple: cleanse the skin while helping it hold on to moisture.
Key ingredients
- Avocado extract is valued in skin cosmetics because it contains nourishing lipids and plant compounds that help reduce the dry, rough feeling that can appear after washing.
- Rice milk is known for its softening effect and gives the formula a milder, more skin-friendly character.
- Vitamin complex is included to help protect the skin's fresh appearance by contributing antioxidant action.
Together, the avocado and rice milk help leave the skin feeling supple and less stripped. In plain language, antioxidants help limit the effect of external stress factors that can make skin look dull over time. In a rinse-off product like a shower gel, the effect is naturally lighter than in a leave-on cream, but it still adds to the overall skin-conditioning profile of the formula.
When to choose it
This 500 ml format works well for family bathroom use or for anyone who prefers a larger bottle for frequent showers. It suits normal skin and can be a nice option in these situations:
- In colder months
- After exercise
- Whenever you want cleansing with a softer after-feel rather than a squeaky-clean finish
Important notes
If your skin is very reactive or prone to sensitivity, it is sensible to check how it responds first, especially if you usually avoid fragranced body wash products. For external use only, and stop use if irritation appears.

Customer Questions
Regular soaps and highly foaming body washes are designed to strip away oil and dirt, which can often leave skin feeling tight, 'squeaky-clean', or dry. This shower gel is formulated with avocado extract and rice milk to cleanse while helping the skin hold on to moisture, aiming for a softer, more supple after-feel rather than that stripped sensation.
The product description notes that if your skin is very reactive or prone to sensitivity, it is sensible to check how it responds first, especially if you usually avoid fragranced body wash products. To test it safely, apply a small amount (a pea-sized drop) on a discreet area of skin, such as the inside of your forearm, during your shower. Rinse it off as you normally would and observe the area for 24 hours.
This shower gel is formulated and tested for body skin. Facial skin is typically more delicate, has more oil glands, and is more prone to sensitivity around the eyes and mouth. Body washes are often more fragranced and have different surfactant blends than facial cleansers, which are specifically designed to be gentler on the finer skin of the face.
'Light moisturising' in a rinse-off shower gel means that while the avocado extract and rice milk help condition the skin and reduce the stripped feeling during and immediately after washing, most of the product is rinsed away. The effect is subtler and shorter-lived than with a leave-on body lotion or cream, which forms a lasting protective layer.
