Sekrety Stoletij ("Secrets of the Centuries") Milk Thistle Tablets is a dietary supplement based on dry powdered milk thistle (Silybum marianum) seed in tablet form. Milk thistle is one of the best-researched herbal plants in European and global botanical traditions. Each tablet contains a concentrated powder of the whole milk thistle seed, including the flavonolignan complex silymarin — the principal bioactive fraction of milk thistle, comprising three main components: silybin, silicristin and silidianin. The formula is further enriched with natural vitamins E, B and C and the trace elements zinc, copper and selenium.
Silymarin, the flavonolignan complex of milk thistle, has been extensively studied in phytotherapy research. The supplement is suitable for adults who wish to support their daily intake of antioxidant vitamins (E, C) and the trace mineral selenium, which contributes to the normal protection of cells from oxidative stress.
