Neolexan is a dietary supplement providing 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) in tablet form. 5-HTP is a naturally occurring intermediate metabolite formed in the body from the essential amino acid tryptophan, and it is the direct biochemical precursor to serotonin — the neurotransmitter that plays a central role in mood regulation, appetite control and sleep-cycle maintenance. 5-HTP readily crosses the blood-brain barrier, where it is converted to serotonin in brain tissue.
Neolexan tablets are intended for adults as a dietary supplement source of 5-HTP. The pack contains 30 tablets.
