What It Is
SHIK Vanniseep hammam ja sauna 180 g is a solid bath soap from Shik made for simple, effective cleansing of the hands and body. It is especially suited to warm, humid washing settings such as a bath, sauna or hammam, where skin needs cleansing that feels thorough yet gentle.
People usually choose this kind of soap when they want:
- A classic washed-clean feel
- A rich foam
- A bar that rinses away easily without leaving a heavy film on the skin
How It Cleanses
The cleansing base helps lift away impurities so they can be rinsed off with water. A well-made soap lather also helps spread the product evenly across the skin, which is why bar soap can feel both efficient and pleasant to use.
It lifts away:
- Sweat
- Surface oil
- Dust
- Other impurities
Texture and Rinse-Off Qualities
The foam is described as soft and abundant, which usually means less rubbing is needed during washing. The bar is also intended to leave the skin clean rather than slippery, something many people prefer after handwashing, showering or bathing. The light fragrance adds a fresh note without turning the soap into an overpowering scented product.
Suitability and Precautions
This soap suits those who enjoy traditional solid soap for frequent use in various settings. It can work well for people who prefer a simple cleansing product over more creamy shower formulas.
It is suitable for use at:
- Home
- In the gym bag
- At the cottage
- As part of a bathhouse ritual
If your skin is very reactive or tends to feel dry after washing, pay attention to how it feels after use and choose a milder option if needed. As with any cosmetic cleanser, avoid the eye area and stop use if irritation appears.

Customer Questions
Using a solid soap in a sauna or hammam is straightforward. Start by wetting the bar and your skin under warm water or in the steam. The soap is designed to create a rich, soft foam, so work it into a lather with your hands or a washcloth. Spread the foam evenly across your body, which helps ensure thorough cleansing. Its formulation lifts away sweat and surface oils that can accumulate in a hot environment. After washing, rinse your skin completely with clean water. The soap is intended to rinse away easily without leaving a heavy, slippery film, giving you a classic washed-clean feel that many prefer after a sauna session. Let the bar dry on a well-draining soap dish between uses, especially in humid settings, to help it last longer.
This soap is formulated for effective cleansing, lifting away sweat, surface oil, and dust to leave skin feeling clean. While many people enjoy this traditional, washed-clean sensation, the experience can vary depending on your individual skin type and sensitivity. If your skin is very reactive or tends to feel dry or tight after washing, it's important to pay attention to how it feels after use. The product rinses off without leaving a heavy film, which some may find less moisturizing than creamier shower formulas. As with any cosmetic cleanser, if you notice any signs of irritation or excessive dryness, you should stop using it. For those with dry skin, following up with a body lotion or moisturizer after bathing is a common practice to help maintain skin comfort.
This soap is described as being for simple, effective cleansing of the hands and body. While some people use a single bar for their entire shower routine, facial skin is often more sensitive. The product's cleansing base is designed to lift away impurities effectively, which might be too stripping for some facial skin types, particularly if it is dry or sensitive. A key safety precaution from the product information is to avoid the eye area entirely, as soap can cause irritation. If you choose to try it on your face, do a patch test on a small area first, use it sparingly, and rinse very thoroughly. Monitor your skin's reaction. For daily facial cleansing, many people prefer products specifically formulated for the face, which are often gentler and pH-balanced.
