Flaxseed oil (Linum usitatissimum seed oil) is one of the richest plant-based sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), the essential omega-3 fatty acid that the body uses to synthesise the longer-chain omega-3s EPA and DHA. This supplement provides flaxseed oil in soft gelatin capsule form — the capsule shell protects the highly unsaturated oil from oxidation and eliminates the unpleasant taste that can accompany liquid flaxseed oil.
RealKaps Flaxseed Oil capsules contain oil with a minimum of 50% polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, additionally enriched with natural vitamin E (tocopherol), which acts as a lipid antioxidant to protect the oil during storage and contributes to cellular protection from oxidative stress. Each pack contains 30 soft gelatin capsules.
