What This Toothpaste Does
PURE LINE LESNOI BALSAM Whitening Black Toothpaste with charcoal, black fir and peppermint is an oral hygiene toothpaste chosen by people who want a fresher mouthfeel and a cleaner-looking smile in one step. Its black colour comes from charcoal, an ingredient often used in toothpastes for its absorbing properties and its ability to help lift away surface buildup from food, drinks and tobacco.
Key Ingredients
- Charcoal — helps bind impurities on the tooth surface; brushing then removes them mechanically, which can make teeth look brighter by reducing external staining rather than changing the natural shade of enamel.
- Peppermint — adds a cooling, fresh taste that helps leave the mouth feeling cleaner after brushing.
- Black fir — contributes an aromatic, resinous note that gives the paste a more distinctive herbal profile.
Who It Suits Best
This type of whitening toothpaste is usually a good fit for adults who:
- Drink coffee or tea regularly
- Prefer a strong fresh finish after brushing
- Want to alternate their regular toothpaste with something focused on surface stain removal
In a home oral hygiene regimen, it works as part of regular brushing together with a suitable toothbrush and floss or interdental cleaning.
Things to Keep in Mind
As with any whitening charcoal toothpaste, it is sensible to pay attention to how your teeth and gums feel over time, especially if you are prone to sensitivity or have weakened enamel. If irritation appears, or if you have ongoing dental concerns, ask your dentist which toothpaste is most suitable for you.

Customer Questions
The whitening effect of this toothpaste comes from charcoal, which is included for its absorbing properties. When you brush, the charcoal helps bind impurities on the surface of your teeth. The mechanical action of brushing then removes these bound impurities, which can make teeth look brighter by reducing external staining caused by coffee, tea, or tobacco. It is important to understand that this process focuses on surface buildup rather than changing the natural shade of your enamel. Therefore, while your teeth may appear cleaner and less stained, the toothpaste does not bleach or lighten the intrinsic color of your teeth.
As with any whitening charcoal toothpaste, it is sensible to pay attention to how your teeth and gums feel over time, especially if you are prone to sensitivity or have weakened enamel. The abrasive nature of charcoal and the refreshing intensity of peppermint may cause irritation for some users. If you notice any discomfort, sensitivity, or gum irritation, it is recommended to stop use and consult your dentist to determine which toothpaste is most suitable for your specific dental needs.
