What is the correct way to incorporate this oil into a skincare or bath routine?

Since this is a concentrated essential oil, it must be handled with care when applied to the body. For cosmetic enhancement, it is best used to scent neutral bases like unscented lotions, body gels, or carrier oils such as jojoba, almond, or grapeseed oil. A safe starting ratio for facial or body products is typically 1 or 2 drops of essential oil per 15ml of base product. This allows you to enjoy the refined sensory character of violet and its grounding effect without risking skin irritation from over-concentration.

When adding violet oil to a bath, do not drop it directly into the water. Essential oils do not dissolve in water and will float on the surface in concentrated droplets, which may cause irritation upon contact with the skin. Instead, mix 3 to 5 drops of the oil into an emulsifier—such as a tablespoon of sea salt, honey, or milk—before stirring it into the bathwater. This ensures the oil disperses evenly, creating a more immersive and gentle aromatic experience. If you have sensitive skin, always perform a patch test by applying a small amount of the diluted mixture to the inside of your elbow and waiting 24 hours. If any redness or itching occurs, discontinue use immediately. This product is intended for external cosmetic support and is not suitable for use on very young children or on broken, highly irritated skin.
