The main practical difference is how it is taken. The liquid does not need to be washed down, it is easy to measure, and the daily dose on the label depends on age: 10, 5 or 2.5 ml. This is especially relevant for those who find it hard to swallow tablets or capsules: older people, children from 3 years of age, and people who have a gag reflex with solid forms.
Vitamin C has been included for a reason: it increases the bioavailability of non-haem iron (the kind found in plant foods and supplements). Taking them together is common practice, and having vitamin C in the formula itself saves you from having to keep track of this combination separately.
Shake the bottle well before use. The daily dose on the label: adults and children aged 11 and over — 10 ml, children aged 7–10 — 5 ml, children aged 3–6 — 2.5 ml; it must not be exceeded, and the bottle should be kept out of the reach of children. The liquid form is usually taken diluted in a small amount of water or juice, or undiluted — check the method on the label.
