The main practical difference is how it is taken. The liquid does not need to be washed down, it is easy to measure, and the daily dose on the label depends on age: 10, 5 or 2.5 ml. This is especially relevant for those who find it hard to swallow tablets or capsules: older people, children from 3 years of age, and people who have a gag reflex with solid forms.
VITATEKA liquid iron contains pear concentrate and bilberry juice, which makes the taste milder than that of many mineral supplements — this reduces the likelihood of giving up the course because of the unpleasant aftertaste typical of some iron salts.
In terms of composition, this product is not a single-ingredient supplement: in addition to iron, the formula includes vitamin C (improves iron absorption), vitamin B12 and folic acid (involved in blood formation), as well as zinc and biotin. Tablet equivalents may contain a similar set of ingredients or may be single-ingredient products — it depends on the specific product.
One 500 ml bottle is designed for a 50-day course at the adult dose of 10 ml a day, which is convenient: there is no need to count tablets or keep track of what is left in the blister pack. At the same time, liquid forms need to be stored correctly after opening — usually in the fridge — and the bottle is best used up within 3 months.
