MAADLEX "SEVE" Lahustuv sigur 200 g
MAADLEX "SEVE" Lahustuv sigur 200 g is a soluble chicory drink made from concentrated chicory extract. People usually choose chicory when they want a warm, full-flavoured cup that feels similar to coffee, but without caffeine. It suits those who prefer to avoid stimulants in the evening, want a gentler hot drink, or simply enjoy the mellow roasted character of chicory itself.
Characteristics and Flavor Profile
Chicory root has a long food tradition in Europe and has been used for generations as a brewed drink ingredient. Its taste develops when the root is processed and roasted, giving a deep, slightly bitter, lightly sweet profile. In this form, the extract is paste-like rather than a dry powder, which makes it easy to dissolve in hot water and allows you to adjust the strength of the drink to your own preference:
- Milder for a light cup
- Richer for a more intense flavour
Usage and Versatility
This chicory extract can work well for people who want variety in their beverage habits. It is a simple pantry staple for home or office and can be used in various ways:
- As a coffee alternative: Ideal for someone reducing coffee intake or looking for a caffeine-free option.
- Customizable taste: The flavour pairs well with sugar, milk, or plant drinks.
- Latte-style: Can be used as a base for a latte-style drink with a rounded, roasted note.
One of the interesting features of chicory is that it naturally contains plant carbohydrates, including compounds formed from the root itself. Chicory root is especially known as a source of inulin, a type of fibre associated with the root, although the exact amount in this product is not specified on the packaging. Because chicory contains no caffeine by nature, it does not have the same stimulating effect as coffee.
Important Notes
If you are sensitive to any ingredient, choose with caution. As with any food product, discontinue use if it does not suit you. If you are unsure whether chicory is appropriate for your menu, especially in case of known intolerance or allergy, it is sensible to consult a healthcare professional.

Customer Questions
The main difference is the absence of caffeine. Coffee contains caffeine, which stimulates the nervous system; chicory does not, so it does not have the typical invigorating effect. The flavour profile, however, stays close: roasted, slightly bitter and caramel notes give the feel of a familiar warm drink.
Thanks to its paste-like extract, SEVE Lahustuv sigur dissolves completely in hot water — no brewing or straining needed. This is handy at home, at work or when travelling, where you cannot use a coffee machine or a French press.
