Hand Cream for Dry Rough Skin with Shea Butter and Hyaluronic Acid 75ml - Workaholic's Care

This hand cream is an everyday moisturiser for hands that feel tight, rough or dehydrated after frequent washing, cold weather or dry indoor air. Instead of only coating the skin, it combines two main groups of ingredients. Sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid), glycerin and urea are humectants: they help attract and bind water in the upper layers of the skin, which reduces that papery, drawn feeling. Shea butter, sunflower oil, coconut oil and lanolin are emollients that add a lipid layer on the surface and help slow down moisture loss. The formula also contains snail secretion filtrate, a skin-conditioning component used to make the skin feel smoother and more elastic, chamomile extract for a soothing touch, and vitamin E for antioxidant protection of both the formula and the skin surface.

The product is described as fast-absorbing, and its formula balances water-binding humectants with richer emollients. This means it can deliver noticeable moisture without leaving a greasy film on the palms. To get that result, use about a pea-sized amount, massage it into the back of the hands, knuckles and cuticles, and rub until the cream disappears. A short pause of one or two minutes before starting work will help any remaining residue settle in.

Frequent hand washing removes natural oils, which is why hands can feel tight and look rough around the knuckles. This cream is suited to that pattern because it absorbs quickly and can be reapplied without making the hands sticky. Keep the tube by the sink, at your desk, or in a bag so it is always available. After washing, pat your hands dry and apply a small amount while the skin is still slightly damp, which helps the product spread evenly and absorb faster.

If you have a known allergy or past reaction to lanolin, this hand cream is not an obvious choice because lanolin is one of the ingredients in the formula. It acts as an emollient and helps slow down water loss, but for someone with a lanolin sensitivity it can cause irritation. If you are unsure whether you are sensitive, or if your skin is generally very reactive, do a patch test before using the product on your hands. Apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and wait 24 hours. If redness, itching or stinging appears, stop using the product.
