Victoria Beauty Hyaluron Cream with Sea Amber Algae and Microcollagen for 40–55 Years is a cosmetic anti-ageing face cream from the Victoria Beauty range, manufactured by CAMCO Ltd (Bulgaria), formulated specifically for the physiological needs of facial skin in the 40–55 year age range. The formula combines three primary anti-ageing cosmetic actives: hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate), sea amber algae extract and microcollagen. Hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) is the most clinically studied cosmetic humectant — it is a linear glycosaminoglycan of repeating N-acetylglucosamine and glucuronic acid disaccharide units, capable of retaining up to 1,000 times its own weight in water. In the skin, the natural content of hyaluronic acid declines progressively with age (by approximately 50% between 20 and 50 years), contributing to the appearance of dryness, reduced elasticity and the visible deepening of wrinkle lines; topical application of sodium hyaluronate replenishes this declining moisture reservoir. Sea amber algae (marine algae with amber-associated polysaccharides) provides marine bioactives — fucoidans, laminarin and other sulphated polysaccharides — with humectant, antioxidant and skin-conditioning properties. Microcollagen (low-molecular-weight hydrolysed collagen peptides) penetrates the outer epidermal layers and provides surface protein conditioning, improving skin texture and suppleness. The formula additionally contains broad-spectrum UVA and UVB filters for daily UV protection, and a carefully selected hypoallergenic fragrance composition. 50 ml jar.

Customer Questions
How should I layer this cream with serum, sunscreen, and makeup in the morning?
This cream is designed as a daytime moisturiser with built-in UVA/UVB filters, so it sits after cleansing and any water-based serum in your morning routine. If you use a serum (for example, a vitamin C or additional hyaluronic acid serum), apply it first on damp skin, wait 30–60 seconds for it to absorb, then smooth the cream over face and neck.Because the product already contains UV filters, it provides light daily protection suitable for indoor days or short outdoor commutes. For extended sun exposure — walking, gardening, outdoor sports — layer a dedicated broad-spectrum SPF 30+ on top once the cream has set (about 2–3 minutes). The cream’s texture is formulated to avoid pilling, so it generally works well under foundation or tinted moisturiser; let it fully absorb before applying makeup to prevent sliding.If your skin is very dry, the serum-plus-cream combination adds an extra hydration layer. If your skin is combination or leans oily, the cream alone may be sufficient. In the evening, skip this product (it contains UV filters meant for daytime) and use a night cream or treatment product instead.
What does microcollagen actually do on the skin, and how is it different from the collagen my body produces?
Microcollagen in this formula is hydrolysed collagen — collagen broken down into small peptides. Its molecular size is still too large to reach the deeper dermis where your skin’s own collagen network lives. Instead, it works on the surface (stratum corneum) as a film-forming humectant: it binds water and creates a lightweight, flexible layer that makes the skin feel softer, more supple, and smoother to the touch.This surface effect can temporarily improve the look of fine dehydration lines and help makeup sit more evenly, but it does not stimulate new collagen production or "replace" lost structural collagen. For deeper collagen support, ingredients like retinoids, peptides with proven penetration data, or professional treatments are typically used — and those are separate steps in a routine.Think of microcollagen here as a conditioning and comfort ingredient that improves immediate feel and appearance, complementing the hyaluronic acid’s deeper hydration and the algae’s moisture-retention polysaccharides. It’s a cosmetic benefit, not a structural repair.
Is the UV protection in this cream enough to replace a separate sunscreen?
The cream contains UVA/UVB filters and is labelled as a day cream with light UV shielding. This means it offers baseline protection against incidental exposure — commuting, sitting near windows, quick errands. However, the level of protection depends on how much product you apply (the standard test dose is 2 mg/cm², roughly a quarter-teaspoon for face and neck). Most people apply moisturiser more thinly than that, so the actual SPF on skin is often lower than the labelled value.For any planned time outdoors longer than 15–20 minutes — walking, sports, gardening, beach — you should apply a dedicated broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) after this cream has absorbed. Reapply that sunscreen every two hours, or after sweating or wiping the face. The cream’s filters are a convenient "better than nothing" layer for daily life, not a substitute for proper sunscreen when UV index is high.If you prefer a single product, look for a moisturiser with a verified SPF 30+ rating and apply it at the full measured dose. This product’s primary role is hydration and smoothing; the UV filters are a practical bonus for the first hours of the day.
Can I use this cream if I’m already using retinol or exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA)?
This cream is compatible with retinoid or acid routines, but the source advises introducing new products one at a time so you can identify any reaction. If you use a retinol or retinal product at night, apply this cream in the morning after cleansing (and after any morning serum). The hyaluronic acid and algae polysaccharides help counteract the dryness and barrier disruption that retinoids and acids can cause.If you use a leave-on AHA/BHA toner or serum in the morning, apply the acid first, wait until it dries (about a minute), then follow with this cream. The UV filters in the cream are especially important when using exfoliants, because freshly exfoliated skin is more photosensitive.Start by using the cream every other morning for the first week. If your skin feels comfortable — no stinging, redness, or flaking — increase to daily. If irritation appears, pause the acid or retinoid for a few days, keep the cream as a soothing moisturiser, and reintroduce actives more slowly. Always avoid the eye area with this product, and patch-test on the jawline if your skin is reactive.
How should I store the cream and how long is it good after opening?
Store the jar at normal room temperature (15–25 °C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources like radiators or bathroom windowsills. Heat and light can degrade the UV filters, hyaluronic acid, and algae polysaccharides over time, reducing both efficacy and sensory quality.After opening, the product’s shelf life is indicated by the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on the packaging — an open jar icon with a number and "M" (for months). For most facial creams in jars, this is 6 or 12 months. Write the opening date on the label with a marker to avoid accidental use past that point.Always close the lid tightly after each use to minimise air exposure and contamination. Use clean fingers or a small spatula rather than dipping directly into the jar, especially if you have active breakouts or sensitive skin. If the cream changes colour, develops an off smell, separates, or feels gritty, discard it even if it’s within the PAO window.Unopened, the product is typically stable for 24–30 months from manufacture when stored correctly; the expiry date is printed on the box or crimp.

What it is

Victoria Beauty Hyaluron Cream Sea Amber Algae + Microcollagen 40–55 years is a day face cream created for skin that often starts to show more noticeable dehydration, reduced bounce and a rougher texture with age. People usually choose this type of formula when they want moisture, a smoother feel and light UV shielding in one step, without a heavy finish.

Key components

  • Hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) — the key humectant; it helps bind water in the upper layers of the skin, so the face looks fresher and feels less tight. This matters because mature skin often loses moisture more easily, which can make fine lines look sharper.
  • Microcollagen (hydrolysed collagen) — works mainly as a surface-conditioning ingredient: it forms a light film that helps the skin feel softer and more supple. It does not replace the skin’s own collagen, but it can improve the look and feel of the surface.
  • Sea amber algae — marine algae are valued in skincare for their polysaccharides, which help attract moisture and reduce the dry, tired look that can appear during the day. They also bring antioxidant properties, useful when skin is exposed to urban stress and sunlight.
  • UVA/UVB filters — make this cream especially practical as a daytime option, since UV exposure is one of the main external factors that speeds up the appearance of wrinkles and uneven texture.

When people choose it

This cream suits people aged 40–55 who want a straightforward moisturising and smoothing product for morning use, for example:

  • if skin feels less elastic than before;
  • if makeup sits less evenly;
  • if the face looks dull by midday.

It fits well into a simple regimen after cleansing and before makeup. If your skin is very dry, it can be paired with a serum underneath; if it is combination skin, it may work as the main morning moisturiser on its own.

Important notes

  • As with any active facial cosmetic, patch testing is sensible if your skin is reactive.
  • Avoid the eye area, and stop use if irritation appears.
  • If you already use stronger exfoliating acids or retinoids, introduce new products one by one so you can see how your skin responds.
