Store the jar at normal room temperature (15–25 °C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources like radiators or bathroom windowsills. Heat and light can degrade the UV filters, hyaluronic acid, and algae polysaccharides over time, reducing both efficacy and sensory quality.
After opening, the product’s shelf life is indicated by the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on the packaging — an open jar icon with a number and "M" (for months). For most facial creams in jars, this is 6 or 12 months. Write the opening date on the label with a marker to avoid accidental use past that point.
Always close the lid tightly after each use to minimise air exposure and contamination. Use clean fingers or a small spatula rather than dipping directly into the jar, especially if you have active breakouts or sensitive skin. If the cream changes colour, develops an off smell, separates, or feels gritty, discard it even if it’s within the PAO window.
Unopened, the product is typically stable for 24–30 months from manufacture when stored correctly; the expiry date is printed on the box or crimp.
