It is suitable for all hair types, but it makes the most sense when hair has lost smoothness and flexibility. A conditioner like this works on the surface of the hair shaft after washing: it helps soften the cuticle, so lengths feel sleeker, reflect light better and are easier to comb without feeling heavy.
Moisture retention with hyaluronic acid
The key idea of the DR.SANTE Hyaluron conditioner is moisture retention. Hyaluronic acid is valued in hair cosmetics because it binds water and helps keep hydration where the hair needs it most, especially along dry lengths and ends. After shampooing, squeeze excess water from your hair so the product isn't diluted. Dispense an amount roughly the size of a walnut for shoulder-length hair (adjust for length and thickness) and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and ends — these areas are usually the driest and most porous. Avoid applying directly to the scalp unless your scalp also feels dry, as the formula is designed for the hair shaft. Leave the balm on for one to three minutes; this gives the hyaluronic acid time to bind moisture and the keratin and wheat proteins time to coat the cuticle. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until the hair feels clean but not squeaky. For very tangled hair, you can gently comb through with a wide-tooth comb while the conditioner is in, starting at the ends and working upward to minimize breakage.
The conditioner is formulated for hair that has lost smoothness and flexibility — typically after frequent washing, heat styling, coloring, or seasonal changes. It works well on long hair where the ends are older and more porous, on bleached or highlighted hair that feels brittle, and on wavy or curly textures prone to frizz when the cuticle is raised. If you have a history of reactive scalp or contact dermatitis, do a patch test first: apply a small amount behind the ear or on the inner forearm, leave for a few minutes, rinse, and wait 24 hours.
