What Pink Clay Does
DNC Roosa savi 130 g is a pink clay powder for face and body masks, chosen when the skin looks tired, uneven or easily reacts to external factors. Pink clay is valued for its mild character: it helps cleanse the skin surface without the harsh feel that some stronger clays can leave behind. This makes it a practical option for people who want a mineral mask with a gentler touch.
Mineral Composition
Its main value comes from its mineral profile. Pink clay can help:
- Silicon — often appreciated in clay-based skincare because it helps the skin feel smoother and look more refined.
- Iron, magnesium and calcium — help absorb excess oil, lift away impurities and leave the skin looking fresher.
Together, these minerals are known for helping maintain the skin's balanced appearance, so the mask does not feel only "deep-cleansing" but also more softening and steadying.
When to Use It
DNC pink clay suits those who enjoy clay masks but do not want an overly drying result. It may fit your routine when:
- Pores appear more visible
- The complexion looks dull or tired
- The skin needs a neat, refreshed look before the next skincare step
- You want a cleaner, smoother feel on the neck, décolleté or body
How to Use and Important Notes
When preparing clay masks, non-metal bowls and tools are usually preferred because clay can interact with metal, which may affect the texture of the mixture. Mix until smooth and apply as directed in the product instructions.
- If your skin is very sensitive or easily becomes dry, start with a shorter application time and watch how it responds.
- Avoid use on broken or irritated skin.
- If you are using strong acids, retinoids or other highly active skincare, alternate them rather than apply everything at once.

Customer Questions
Measure the desired amount of powder into a glass, ceramic, or plastic bowl — avoid metal because clay can react with it and change the texture of the mixture. Add lukewarm water gradually while stirring with a non-metal spoon or brush until you reach a smooth, spreadable consistency similar to yogurt. Apply an even, thin layer to clean skin on the face, neck, décolleté, or body, avoiding the eye area. For a first use or if your skin tends to be reactive, leave the mask on for 5–7 minutes; you can extend to 10–12 minutes once you know how your skin responds. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water while the mask is still slightly damp — letting it dry completely and crack can pull moisture from the skin and cause tightness. Pat dry and follow with your usual toner, serum, and moisturizer.
Pink clay is generally chosen for its gentler profile compared to green or bentonite clays, making it a common option for skin that feels tight or reacts quickly to stronger formulas. The mineral blend — silicon, iron, magnesium, and calcium — works on the surface to absorb excess oil and lift impurities without the intense drawing sensation that can leave skin feeling stripped. Still, sensitivity varies: if your skin is very reactive, do a patch test on the inner forearm or jawline for 5 minutes, 24 hours before a full-face application. On the first few uses, keep the leave-on time to 5 minutes maximum and rinse while the mask is still slightly moist. Avoid applying on broken skin, active eczema, sunburn, or areas recently treated with professional peels. If you experience stinging, persistent redness, or itching during or after use, rinse immediately and discontinue. After rinsing, apply a fragrance-free moisturizer to support the barrier.
Clay masks temporarily increase skin permeability by removing surface debris and oils, which can make the skin more receptive — and more vulnerable — to potent actives applied immediately after. If your routine includes AHAs/BHAs (glycolic, lactic, salicylic), retinoids (retinol, retinal, tretinoin), or high-strength vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid above 10%), apply the clay mask on a separate evening. A practical pattern: use the mask on Sunday, resume actives on Monday. On the mask night, keep the rest of the routine simple — cleanse, mask, rinse, hydrate with a barrier-supportive moisturizer (ceramides, panthenol, glycerin), and skip exfoliating toners or serums. If you prefer morning masking, ensure your evening routine the night before did not include strong actives, and always follow daytime masking with sunscreen (SPF 30+), as freshly revealed skin is more UV-sensitive.
The product is formulated for both face and body. On the face, neck, and décolleté, once weekly is a solid baseline; you can move to twice weekly only if your skin stays comfortable, hydrated, and shows no irritation. For body use — such as the upper back, shoulders, chest, or areas prone to congestion — twice weekly is generally well tolerated because the skin is thicker and less reactive. Apply a thin, even layer; thick layers don't increase efficacy but do increase drying time and product waste. Avoid the immediate eye area, lips, and any mucous membranes. After rinsing, the skin should feel clean and smooth, not tight or squeaky. If tightness occurs, reduce frequency or shorten the leave-on time by 2–3 minutes.
