Camphor Ointment 10% is a topical cosmetic preparation with camphor (Camphora) as the primary active ingredient at 10% concentration, formulated in a classic petrolatum (vaseline), paraffin wax and anhydrous lanolin ointment base. Camphor is a bicyclic monoterpenoid naturally occurring in the wood of the camphor laurel tree (Cinnamomum camphora), characterised by a distinctively sharp, penetrating and cooling/warming aromatic quality. At 10% concentration in an ointment base, camphor provides a pronounced warming counter-irritant sensory effect on skin application, alongside its characteristic cooling and aromatic notes. The anhydrous lanolin base provides emollient, skin-softening and film-forming properties for sustained application. The ointment base — petrolatum (54%), paraffin (8%) and anhydrous lanolin (28%) — ensures a stable, occlusive vehicle for the camphor active that adheres well to skin during application.

USE: Apply a small amount of ointment to the target area of skin. Massage lightly for 2–3 applications. Wash hands thoroughly after applying.
WARNINGS: For external use only.
