Põõsasmarana Tea (Shrubby Cinquefoil / Kuril Tea) is a dried herbal infusion tea made from the aerial parts (flowers and leaves) of Potentilla fruticosa (shrubby cinquefoil), also known in Eastern European herbal traditions as Kuril tea (Курильский чай). Potentilla fruticosa is a flowering shrub of the Rosaceae family native to mountainous regions across Central Asia, Siberia and the Himalayan plateau. Kuril tea has a long documented history of use as a traditional beverage in Siberia, Central Asia, Mongolia and Tibet, where it has been consumed as a herbal infusion for centuries. The plant is naturally rich in flavonoids, catechins, tannins and vitamin C.
