BISOU Peach Body Scrub "Cleansing and Moisturising" is a cosmetic exfoliating body scrub from the BISOU natural cosmetics range (Ukraine), with a peach-inspired aromatic and up to 100% naturally derived formula. The scrub combines three physical exfoliant actives — cane sugar, Himalayan pink salt and red clay — with nourishing plant oils and peach extract for an intensive but gentle cleansing and moisturising body scrub experience. Himalayan pink salt is rich in minerals including magnesium, potassium and calcium, and provides thorough pore-cleansing mechanical exfoliation. Red clay (Kaolin rojo / iron-rich kaolin clay) absorbs surface sebum and impurities while contributing a toning and mineralising action. Cane sugar provides the finest grade of mechanical exfoliation. Peach (Prunus persica) extract provides a delicate natural fruit aroma and skin-softening botanical actives. The oil-rich formula nourishes the skin as it exfoliates for a moisturised, soft result without the need for additional body lotion after use.

Customer Questions
What are the exfoliating particles in this scrub, and why does it use three different ones?
The scrub relies on three physical exfoliants that behave differently on the skin. Cane sugar gives the gentlest polishing action: its particles help loosen the top layer of dry flakes without much pressure. Himalayan pink salt works more thoroughly, providing the firmer buffing that rough areas such as elbows, knees and lower legs usually need. Red clay is not abrasive in the same way — it adds an absorbent element that helps lift excess sebum and surface impurities, which is why the scrub feels cleansing as well as smoothing rather than only mechanical.Using several materials together means the polishing effect is fuller but the after-feel is less harsh than with a single coarse abrasive. The formula is also oil-rich: peach extract adds a softening botanical element, and plant oils help reduce the tight, stripped feeling some scrubs leave after rinsing. In practice that means many people find the skin comfortable enough afterwards to skip a separate body cream, though applying one is still a reasonable habit if your skin runs dry — freshly exfoliated skin generally takes in moisturisers well.Note that this is a body product with a mechanical exfoliating action, so it is not meant for the face, where the skin is thinner and usually needs milder exfoliation.
How do I use the scrub correctly, and how often should I exfoliate?
The scrub fits naturally into a shower ritual. Wet the skin first — warm water softens the surface and makes exfoliation more even. Take a small amount, spread it over the area and work it in with light circular motions. Because sugar, salt and clay are already doing the mechanical work, vigorous rubbing adds irritation rather than better results; a light hand is genuinely the correct technique here, not just a formality. Give extra passes to rough zones such as elbows, knees and shins, then rinse thoroughly.After rinsing, the plant oils in the formula leave a nourished finish, so you can judge by feel whether you want a body cream on top. If you do apply one, exfoliated skin is a good canvas for it.On frequency: the source does not prescribe a schedule, but with mechanical body scrubs the common-sense approach is one to two times a week for most skin, adjusting by how your skin responds. Daily scrubbing is unnecessary and tends to leave skin over-polished and reactive. If you notice persistent stinging or redness after a session, stop using the product rather than pushing through.A practical storage point: scoop the product out with dry hands or a small spatula where possible — repeatedly introducing shower water into the jar can degrade the texture of an oil-and-particle formula over time.
When is the best moment to use it — for example before self-tanning or shaving?
This scrub is intended to slot into a shower ritual at specific moments, and two of them are worth explaining properly.Before self-tan. Self-tanning products develop colour on the outermost layer of the skin, so any patch of built-up dead cells — typically elbows, knees and ankles — grabs more product and turns darker. Exfoliating first evens out that surface, which is why a body scrub is a standard preparation step. A practical sequence: scrub in the shower, rinse well, dry the skin, and apply self-tan afterwards. Since this formula leaves an oil-rich finish, give the skin a little time and make sure no oily film remains on areas where you want the tan to take evenly, as oils can interfere with how self-tan develops.Before shaving the legs. Exfoliating first removes the layer of flakes that would otherwise clog the razor, and it helps free hairs that lie flat against the skin, so the blade cuts closer with fewer passes. Scrub first, rinse, then shave — not the other way around, because a scrub on freshly shaved skin is more likely to sting.Outside of those two occasions, it simply suits any shower when the body feels dull, uneven or dry to the touch and you want smoother skin with a peach-scented finish.
Is this scrub suitable for sensitive or very dry skin?
The formula is built to be less harsh than a typical single-abrasive scrub: the sugar component polishes gently, and the peach extract and plant oils are there specifically to reduce the tight, stripped feeling that dry skin reacts badly to. For skin that is simply dry — flaky shins, rough elbows — that oil-rich after-feel is actually the point of choosing this product over a more astringent salt-only scrub.Sensitive, reactively dry or easily irritated skin is a different case. Any mechanical exfoliant can be too much for it, regardless of formula, so the sensible approach is to test before committing: try the scrub on one small, less delicate area such as the forearm or lower leg, use minimal pressure, and wait a day to see how the skin responds before using it over the whole body. Salt in particular can sting on compromised skin, so pay attention to how the buffing feels, not just how the skin looks afterwards.There are also firm limits on where it belongs. Do not use it on the face, or on damaged, irritated or sun-exposed skin — scrubbing over sunburn or broken skin will make things worse, not smoother. If stinging or redness appears and persists after use, discontinue the product. And if you have a diagnosed skin condition, this is a cosmetic scrub for cleansing and smoothing, not a treatment — consult a specialist about exfoliation rather than relying on it to manage the condition.

What it is

BISOU Peach Body Scrub "Cleansing and Moisturising" is a body scrub designed to exfoliate rough areas and leave the skin feeling smoother, softer and more supple. People usually choose this type of product when the body feels dull, uneven or dry to the touch, especially on elbows, knees, legs and other areas that tend to build up dead surface cells. The texture combines exfoliation with an oil-rich finish, so the skin does not feel stripped after rinsing.

Key components

Its effect comes from a blend of three physical exfoliants that work a little differently on the skin:

  • Cane sugar — polishes gently, helping loosen the top layer of dry flakes.
  • Himalayan pink salt — gives a more thorough buffing action and also helps refresh skin texture.
  • Red clay — adds an absorbent element: it helps lift excess sebum and impurities from the surface, which is why the scrub feels cleansing as well as smoothing.
  • Peach extract — contributes a softening botanical touch, while plant oils help reduce the tight feeling that some scrubs can leave behind.

What makes it interesting

What makes this BISOU scrub interesting is the balance between exfoliation and moisture. Instead of relying on just one abrasive material, it uses sugar, salt and clay together, creating a fuller body-polishing effect with a less harsh after-feel. This makes it a good option for those who like a scrub that leaves the skin ready for body cream or, for some, feeling sufficiently nourished on its own.

When to use it

It can fit well into a shower ritual:

  • before self-tan;
  • before shaving the legs;
  • whenever you want smoother-looking skin with a peach-scented finish.

How to use & important notes

Because this is a mechanical exfoliant, it is best used with a light hand rather than vigorous rubbing. If your skin is sensitive, reactively dry, or easily irritated, start cautiously and see how it feels.

  • Do not apply it to the face or to damaged, irritated or sun-exposed skin.
  • Stop use if stinging or redness persists.
