The fir essential oil in this bath bomb is released into the bathwater during the fizzing process to create the primary atmospheric aroma while you soak. After bathing and towel-drying, you may notice a light, clean pine note on your skin, but it is not formulated to be a long-lasting perfume base. It typically fades within 15-30 minutes as your skin cools. For this reason, it shouldn't interfere with a perfume applied later. If you enjoy scent layering, its subtle, natural base could pair well with woody, citrus, or fresh fougère-style fragrances.
To ensure the almond oil and other emollients are evenly distributed, drop the bath bomb into a tub that is already half-filled with warm (not extremely hot) water while the tap is still running. The agitation from the running water helps disperse the ingredients, preventing them from settling in one spot and creating a concentrated, oily patch that could make the tub slippery. The fizzing action also aids this distribution.
The pine character comes from fir essential oil, which is meant to evoke a crisp, forest-like atmosphere rather than the sharp, chemical pine scent sometimes associated with cleaning products.
