Medikomed Sandalwood Essential Oil is a cosmetic aromatic oil derived from the heartwood of the white sandalwood tree (Santalum album), steam-distilled to extract the characteristic rich, warm, creamy-woody aromatic compounds of genuine East Indian sandalwood. Sandalwood oil is composed primarily of alpha- and beta-santalol sesquiterpene alcohols, which give the oil its smooth, persistent, characteristic balsamic warmth. It is one of the most prized aromatic materials in perfumery and aromatherapy-inspired cosmetics, valued for its deep, lasting, skin-close fragrance that does not readily evaporate.
In cosmetic use, sandalwood oil is used as an aromatic component in aroma lamp preparations, bath oils and massage preparations. USE:
Aroma lamp: 1 drop per lamp. Baths: 1–2 drops (diluted in a bath oil base first). Massage: 2–3 drops per 10 ml of carrier oil.
WARNINGS: For external use only. Always dilute before skin contact — do not apply undiluted essential oil directly to skin. Do not use if sensitive to any of the ingredients. In case of allergic reaction, discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children. Do not take internally. Not for use during pregnancy without medical guidance.
STORAGE: Store at +5 °C to +25 °C, in a cool, dark, dry place.
