What this product is

Vitawohl foot deodorant is a practical spray intended for the feet and the inside of footwear. It suits people who are on the move a lot and wear closed shoes, sports shoes or work footwear for many hours and want a feeling of freshness throughout the day.

The spray format makes use easy and hygienic: the product spreads evenly over the skin, between the toes and on the soles, dries quickly and leaves no sticky layer. The spaces between the toes are exactly where moisture collects the most and where an unpleasant odour develops, so even spraying is often more effective than an ordinary stick deodorant.

How it works

The feet have no sebaceous glands, but they have more sweat glands than other parts of the body: up to 250,000 on a single adult foot. Sweat itself is odourless, but in the warm, damp environment inside a closed shoe, skin bacteria begin to break the sweat down, and it is this process that produces the characteristic odour. A deodorant designed for feet works in two ways:

• it reduces the multiplication of bacteria on the skin surface;
• it masks odour with a light fragrance composition.

The result is a drier feel on the skin and fresher footwear.
