BAD GIRL Sugar Baby is a semi-permanent cosmetic hair colour product in shade Pastel Pink — a delicate, sweet, beautifully seductive pastel-pink shade for those who have something to say with their look. BAD GIRL direct hair colours are ammonia-free, peroxide-free, no-PPD ready-to-use direct pigment products that deposit vivid colour onto the hair cuticle without any oxidative chemistry. Pastel Pink is a soft, dreamy warm-pink pastel tone that is ideally suited to very light or pre-lightened blonde hair; on grey or white hair it provides a soft pink-pastel coverage; on very light blonde, it delivers a feminine, delicate pastel-pink result. For darker base hair, it provides a subtle warm-rose tonal overlay. The keratin complex conditions and smooths the hair surface; vitamin E provides antioxidant support; linseed oil adds moisturising and shine. Lasts up to 100 days / over 10 washes; colour remains vibrant after hot water washing; does not transfer onto clothing or bedding once dry. 150 ml applicator bottle.

What it is
Bad Girl Sugar Baby Pastel Pink 150 ml is a semi-permanent direct hair colour for anyone who wants a soft pastel-pink tone without classic oxidative dyeing. People usually choose this type of hair tint when they want to refresh pre-lightened blonde hair, add a playful rosy cast to very light strands, or experiment with colour in a lower-commitment way than permanent dye.
How it works
Its colour works through direct pigments that sit on and around the outer layer of the hair rather than developing inside the fibre with ammonia or peroxide. In plain terms, the shade is already formed in the bottle, so it coats the hair surface and creates a visible pink result depending on your starting base. On very light blonde, white or grey hair, Sugar Baby can look like a delicate pastel pink. On darker hair, the effect is usually more of a soft warm-rose reflection than a strong colour change.
Key components
What makes this formula interesting is the combination of colour with conditioning ingredients:
- Keratin helps smooth the hair surface, which can make the shade appear more even and the lengths look sleeker.
- Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant ingredient often used in hair and skin cosmetics to help protect the formula and contribute to a softer feel.
- Linseed oil is valued for adding slip and shine, so the hair can feel less rough after colouring.
Because this is an ammonia-free, peroxide-free and PPD-free direct dye, it is often chosen by people who want a gentler cosmetic colouring option for tone play and shine enhancement.
When people choose it
This pastel hair colour fits best into a beauty regimen for bleached, highlighted or naturally very light hair when the goal is a temporary fashion shade rather than full permanent recolouring. It can also be used:
- When someone wants to revive faded pink lengths between salon visits.
- To give light ends a sweeter, warmer look for a weekend, holiday or new-season style change.
As with most pastel tones, the final result depends strongly on the lightness and porosity of the hair.
Important notes
Please keep expectations realistic: pastel shades are the most visible on pale bases, and results may vary from the pack image.
- Do a patch test before first use.
- Wear gloves during application.
- Take extra care around the hairline, because direct pigments may stain skin.
- If your hair is very porous, freshly bleached or chemically processed, try a strand test first to check how intensely the colour takes.

Customer Questions
Because Sugar Baby uses direct pigments that coat the hair surface rather than penetrating the cortex, the colour washes out gradually with each shampoo. On moderately porous, pre-lightened blonde hair you can usually expect a visible pastel tone for roughly 4 to 12 washes, though the exact number varies widely. Freshly bleached or highly porous lengths grab pigment more intensely at first but also release it faster, so the initial vibrancy may drop noticeably after just 2–3 washes. Hair that has been toned or lightly conditioned before application tends to hold the shade a little longer because the cuticle is less open.
The product description is clear that the final result depends strongly on the lightness and porosity of your base. On very light blonde, white, or grey hair (essentially level 10 and above), the direct pigments can reflect the delicate pastel pink shown on the packaging. At level 8–9 — typical for many highlighted or bleached blondes — the underlying yellow-gold pigment in the hair mixes with the pink dye, shifting the visible result toward a warm rose, peach, or strawberry-blonde tone rather than a cool pastel pink. This isn't a product failure; it's simple colour theory: pink + yellow = coral/peach.
Start with freshly shampooed (no conditioner), towel-dried hair — damp, not dripping. Direct dyes distribute most evenly on a clean surface free of silicone buildup or oils. Section the hair and work methodically from roots to ends, saturating each strand. For freshly bleached or highly porous ends that tend to grab colour intensely and turn muddy or overly dark, dilute the tint 1:1 or 1:2 with a plain white conditioner (no proteins or heavy oils) before applying to those sections only. This reduces pigment load while still depositing a sheer wash of colour.
Sugar Baby will only deposit visible colour on hair that is light enough to reflect the pink pigment — typically level 9–10 or lighter. Previously permanently coloured hair that sits at a darker level (6–8) may pick up a barely noticeable warm sheen in direct sunlight, but you won't see a pastel pink tone. Highlighted or balayaged sections that reach level 9+ will take the colour, creating a subtle pink accent on those strands while the darker base remains unchanged. This can be a nice low-commitment way to add dimension without bleaching further.
