On blonde, grey, or pre-lightened hair (level 9–10), the fuchsia typically appears rich, saturated, and close to the pack image. On light brown to medium brown hair, you will see a noticeable pink-magenta sheen in sunlight or bright light, but not an opaque colour change. On dark brown or black hair, the effect is a subtle warm reflection visible mainly in direct light. Porosity also matters: overly porous ends grab more pigment and can turn darker or cooler, while resistant, low-porosity hair may take the tone unevenly. Direct dyes wash out progressively rather than growing out. Linseed oil, rich in omega-3 fatty acids, lubricates the fibre and boosts gloss, which is especially useful for fashion shades that rely on light reflection to look vibrant. Together they make the application feel more like a treatment mask than a raw dye, but they do not rebuild broken disulfide bonds or reverse chemical damage — think of them as cosmetic support, not structural repair.

Wear the nitrile gloves provided (or buy a box) — latex can degrade with prolonged contact. Apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly or a dedicated barrier cream along the hairline, ears, and nape before starting; this prevents the intense fuchsia from staining skin, which can take days to fade. Cover countertops, sinks, and towels with disposable cape or plastic sheeting; the pigment penetrates grout, laminate, and fabric instantly.
