The collagen in this cream is first and foremost a moisturising ingredient that works on the surface of the skin. Collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the deeper layers, so their main job is to attract and hold moisture in the stratum corneum, creating a feeling of smoothness and reducing the visibility of minor unevenness. This helps the skin look firmer and more toned, especially if it lacks moisture and density.
The cream is intended for daily use after cleansing. It is best applied to slightly damp skin after a toner or serum — this way the moisturising ingredients (collagen, glycerin, saccharide isomerate) are better retained and keep the skin comfortable for longer. A small amount (about the size of a pea) is enough for the whole face, spread with light massaging movements along the massage lines: from the centre outwards.
The cream contains fragrance — one of the most common irritants for reactive skin. That is why it makes sense to try the product on a limited area first. If your skin tends to react to scented cosmetics with redness, itching or breakouts, this step should not be skipped.
