Product Overview
Fosta Põlvetugi neoprene 510 - 5 is a neoprene knee support sleeve designed for people who want gentle compression and a warming effect around the knee during movement. This type of orthopedic aid is often chosen for:
- Sport and exercise
- Physically active work
- Recovery periods, such as after a minor strain or plaster cast removal
How It Works
The sleeve works in a simple, practical way to support an active lifestyle:
- Compression: Elastic neoprene fits closely around the joint, creating light pressure that helps the knee feel steadier during motion.
- Warmth: Neoprene tends to retain body heat, which can help the area feel warmer and more flexible during walking, training, or other repeated movement.
- Coverage: The 23 cm height provides broader coverage above and below the knee than shorter models, offering a more secure fit over a larger area.
- Ease of use: This pull-on design is uncomplicated, featuring no fasteners or rigid parts for even pressure and soft contact with the skin.
Size 5 is the extra-large option in this series, suitable for those who need a roomier fit while ensuring the sleeve stays in place.
Important Information
This product provides mechanical stabilization only and does not replace medical assessment. If the knee has been injured, operated on, or is painful, swollen, numb, or unstable, it is wise to speak with a healthcare professional before use.

Customer Questions
Size 5 is the extra-large option in this series, so it is meant for people who need a roomier fit. The support only works as intended if the sleeve is in contact with the skin and stays in place during movement. If it is too loose, it can slide or bunch behind the knee; if it is too tight, it can become uncomfortable and make bending difficult.
Yes. The product is designed for sport and exercise, physically active work, and recovery periods when a knee has been strained or after a plaster cast has been removed. During movement, the elastic neoprene applies light pressure around the joint. That compression can make the knee feel steadier, while the warmth helps the area feel more flexible when you walk, train, or do repeated physical tasks.
Neoprene does not tolerate high heat or aggressive cleaning products. For everyday care, rinse the sleeve after heavy sweating or after wearing it for a long period, then let it air out before storing. Sweat left on neoprene can cause odour and make the fabric surface less pleasant against the skin.
The product description is about use during movement: sport, exercise, physically active work, and recovery periods after a minor strain or plaster cast removal. There is no statement that it is intended for overnight use. During sleep, the leg moves much less, so the two main effects of the sleeve, compression and warmth, have little practical job to do. Wearing a neoprene sleeve for many hours can also make skin sweat and increase the chance of irritation, especially behind the knee.
The 23 cm height is the length of the sleeve from its top edge to its bottom edge when laid flat. In this model, that height means the sleeve covers a broad zone above and below the knee rather than just a narrow band around the kneecap. Shorter knee sleeves cover less of the thigh and calf, which some people find easier to put on but also easier to slide out of place. With a 23 cm sleeve, the fit is distributed over a larger area, so the pressure feels less concentrated and the sleeve has more surface to hold onto during movement.
